Our Story
Connecting Translations was founded in 2018, inspired by the vision of Tatiana Peregrín, a seasoned translator with extensive industry experience. Determined to redefine the way translation agencies engage with their clients, she set out to create a service that is more personalised, human and tailored to each client’s unique needs. Her mission was to move beyond the impersonal, on-size-fits-all approach she had encountered in other companies.
The journey has not been easy. In 2020, the pandemic brought significant challenges, impacting both the industry and Tatiana’s personal life, as she navigated the early stages of motherhood. On top of this, the rapid rise of artificial intelligence in the translation sector raised new questions about how to remain relevant and continue adding value in an ever-evolving market.
However, every challenge became an opportunity for growth and innovation. Through dedication, resilience and an unwavering passion for our work, Connecting Translations not only overcame these obstacles, but emerged stronger than ever.
In 2022, Raquel Ruiz joined the team as CEO, bringing a fresh strategic vision and reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering an exceptional, people-centred service. Today, Connecting Translations is more than just a translation agency —it is the culmination of years of dedication, growth and a relentless drive to do things differently. TATIANA PEREGRÍN
Hello! If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably curious about who is behind Connecting Translations and our network of professional freelance translators. So let me take a moment to introduce myself.
I am Tatiana Peregrín Yáñez, founder and director of Connecting Translations, as well as a project manager and professional translator. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada, a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Translation from the University of Cádiz and I am a Sworn Translator-Interpreter of English, officially appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.
From a young age, I’ve had a deep passion for languages and travel, discovering new cultures and learning from them. That passion led me to pursue a career in translation. After several years working as a project manager for other companies, I decided to take the leap and start my own translation agency.
Connecting Translations is a translation agency with a network of professional freelance translators, co-managed by my colleague Raquel and myself. As a translator, I specialise in legal translations and audiovisual translations from English and French into Spanish, as well as sworn translations from English. As a project manager, I handle client enquiries, provide tailored quotes, and ensure that each project is assigned to the most suitable translator.
RAQUEL RUIZ
I am Raquel Ruiz Muñoz, director of Connecting Translations, project manager and professional translator. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada, I am a Sworn Translator-Interpreter of English, officially appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and I am currently pursuing a Law degree at the UNED.
My love of languages has always been a driving force in my life. After completing my studies and gaining experience over a number of years as a hotel receptionist, I embraced the opportunity to co-manage Connecting Translations alongside my colleague Tatiana.
At Connecting Translations, I specialise in legal translations from English and French into Spanish, sworn English translations, and project management, ensuring a seamless and efficient service for our clients.
