Frequently asked questions about sworn translation

1How much does a sworn translation cost?
The cost of a sworn translation depends on factors such as word count, document complexity, formatting, terminology, and language combination. At Connecting Translations, we provide sworn translations in English, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Arabic, and more, from €0.11 per word plus VAT.
2How long does a sworn translation take?
For certificates or short texts, we typically deliver within the same day or the following day. For longer documents, the turnaround time is usually 2 or 3 business days. Thanks to our collaboration with different courier services, we can also deliver paper copies within 24 hours anywhere in Spain.
3What if my document has stamps or handwritten notes?
Sworn translations include all annotations, stamps, and markings. These elements are transcribed as text in the translation to ensure their validity and accuracy.
4Can I request a digital copy of the sworn translation?
Yes! We provide translations with a secure digital signature and, if needed, we also deliver printed copies. If you require additional hard copies, a 30% fee of the total translation cost will apply.
5Do I need to apostille a document before translating it?
It depends on the country and purpose of the document. We recommend checking with the receiving authority. If the document needs to be apostilled, this procedure must be completed first, followed by the sworn translation of the document and the apostille.
